Privacy Policy

Bess Lotto ("we", "us", "the app") provides analytics and information tools for Trinidad & Tobago lottery games. This policy explains what information we collect when you use besslotto.com, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

Bess Lotto is a strictly informational and entertainment product. We do not sell lottery tickets, accept wagers, or hold any funds on your behalf.

This is not the official NLCB website. Bess Lotto is an independent analytics service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the National Lotteries Control Board of Trinidad & Tobago or any official lottery operator. Official results and prize claims are handled solely by the NLCB.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Account data

When you sign in we receive:

• Email address
• Display name (for Google sign-in: as set on your Google account)
• A unique account identifier issued by Firebase Authentication
• Timestamps for account creation and last sign-in

1.2 Gameplay data

While you use the app we store:

• Predictions you save and the score we calculate after each draw
• Lottery tickets you log (numbers picked, cost, claim status)
• Lucky-number sets you generate or save
• Login streaks, achievements, daily-spin rewards

1.3 Device and usage data

Like most web and mobile apps, we collect basic diagnostics so we can diagnose bugs and understand which features get used. This includes browser type, device type, operating system, app version, approximate region (derived from IP — we don't store the IP itself), and anonymised event names such as upgrade_viewed or fast_cash_visited. We do not sell or share this data.

1.4 Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and equivalent browser storage for:

• Authentication. Keeping you signed in.
• Preferences. Remembering your notification toggles and the most recent screen you visited.
• Analytics. Firebase Analytics uses a first-party cookie to attribute usage events.
• Advertising. Google AdSense, our third-party advertising provider, sets cookies to serve ads and measure ad performance. See section 3 below for opt-out information.

2. How we use your information

• To provide the core product — saving predictions, scoring draws, tracking streaks, showing analytics.
• To improve the product — anonymised usage analytics help us find bugs and prioritise features.
• To communicate with you — verification emails, password resets, and (if you opt in) draw alerts.
• To serve advertising, including personalised ads via Google AdSense — subject to your ad-personalisation choices.
• To enforce our terms and prevent abuse (e.g. blocking accounts that attempt to manipulate the spin-wheel reward system).

3. Third parties we share data with

We use a small set of well-known service providers. Each one only receives the data it needs to do its job, and is bound by its own privacy policy:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Analytics) — hosts your account and gameplay data. See Firebase Privacy.
• Google AdSense — serves the banner ads on the web app and may use third-party cookies to personalise them. You can manage personalisation at adssettings.google.com.
• Lemon Squeezy (if you upgrade to a paid plan in the future) — processes payment information. We never see or store your card details; Lemon Squeezy returns only an entitlement confirmation. See Lemon Squeezy Privacy.
• RevenueCat and the platform stores (Apple / Google) — used only on the mobile app for subscription management.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account using the in-app option (Settings → Delete Account), we remove your profile, predictions, tickets, streak data, and FCM device tokens from Firestore within 30 days. Anonymised analytics events that no longer identify you may be retained longer for product-improvement purposes.

5. Children

Bess Lotto is intended for adults (18+) consistent with Trinidad & Tobago lottery participation rules. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us using the details below and we will delete it.

6. Your rights

You can:

• Access the data we hold about you — sign in and view it in the app, or contact us for an export.
• Correct inaccurate data — most fields are editable in-app; for the rest, contact us.
• Delete your account — Settings → Delete Account, or contact us.
• Opt out of personalised advertising via Google Ad Settings or your browser's "Do Not Track" / cookie controls.
• Opt out of email or push notifications via Settings → Notifications.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data: TLS in transit, encrypted storage at rest in Google Cloud, Firebase App Check to attest legitimate clients, and HMAC-verified server-side writes for sensitive fields (subscription status, spin-wheel rewards). No system is perfectly secure; we work hard to keep yours.

8. Jurisdiction

Bess Lotto is operated from Trinidad & Tobago and this policy is governed by the laws of Trinidad & Tobago. If you access the service from outside Trinidad & Tobago, you consent to the transfer of your data to Trinidad & Tobago and to Google's regional infrastructure (typically us-central1).

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced in the app and/or by email.
